Teemu Pulkkinen scores a pair of goals as Griffins defeat Marlies 3-1 @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Teemu Pulkkinen scored twice to lead the Grand Rapids Griffins to a 3-1 win over the Toronto Marlies in American Hockey League action Wednesday afternoon.

Mark Zengerle also scored for the Griffins (24-17-4), while Andy Miele added a pair of assists.

Matt Frattin had the only goal for Toronto (18-18-8).

Jonas Gustavsson made 30 saves for the Griffins, while Christopher Gibson stopped 27 shots for the Marlies.

The Griffins went 0-for-2 on the power play, while the Marlies failed on their only chance with the man advantage.
