Teams celebrate training camp on social media

Fitness tests, photo bombs and Snapchat selfies highlight first day

Thursday was check-in day for many NHL teams, and the teams and players made sure to celebrate on social media while taking fitness tests and meeting the media for the first time of the 2016-17 season.

After Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie passed his fitness test, he decided to celebrate with ice cream.

Defenseman John Klingberg took over as social media manager for the Dallas Stars.

First, Kevin Hayes and Jimmy Vesey of the New York Rangers traded faces. Then, Hayes wandered into Vesey's first headshot photo.
