The Pittsburgh Penguins are back-to-back Stanley Cup champions and the city turned out to celebrate. At Three Rivers Stadium.

No, this isn't about Wednesday's celebration. We are taking you back to 1992.
And everything, the music, the convertibles bringing in two players at a time, the painted green cement called AstroTurf at Three Rivers, the Mike Lange introductions, it is all so 1990s.
We are going to call your attention to a few parts of this hour-long video.
Watch: Youtube Video
First is right around 9:30, at Mario Lemieux's introduction. The captain is, of course, riding with the Stanley Cup, but the organist plays the theme music from the "Super Mario Bros." video game.
Next, head to 15:00 where former Pittsburgh mayor [1988-94], the late Sofie Masloff, quotes Lange with by shouting "Let's go! Scratch my back with a hacksaw!"
At 53:28, you can see a young Jaromir Jagr hoist the Cup. He was 19 years old at the time and told the crowd a "Not!" joke straight out of the movie "Wayne's World." The hair is still amazing though.
You won't believe what happens at 56:25, because that's when Bryan Trottier takes the Cup from Lemieux and runs out on to the wet tarp at Three Rivers and slides multiple times while holding the Cup.
No matter what year, the Penguins know how to throw a party.
