Vladimir Tarasenko had a goal and an assist in the St. Louis Blues' 2-1 preseason win against the Chicago Blackhawks at Scottrade Center on Saturday.

Tarasenko scored 6:53 into the game, then assisted on Alex Pietrangelo's goal at 3:44 of the third period. Carter Hutton stopped 11 of 12 shots and Jake Allen made six saves.

Allen appeared to be injured after making a save with 2:18 left in the first period. He was slow to get up but stayed in the game for the remainder of the first period.
Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said he'd provide an update on Allen's condition at a later date.
"If Jake ever got hurt, there's a lot of confidence here in Carter right now," Hitchcock told the Blues website. "If Jake goes down, we've got no issue playing Carter at all."
Dennis Rasmussen scored 3:05 into the second period for the Blackhawks. Corey Crawford made 19 saves.
It was the preseason finale for the Blackhawks and Blues; they'll open the regular season at United Center on Wednesday.
