Tanski's shorthanded goal lifts Brampton to 5-2 triumph over Guelph

GUELPH, Ont. - Scott Tanski led a balanced attack with a shorthanded goal and an assist as the Brampton Battalion beat the Guelph Storm 5-2 in OHL action Wednesday.

Tanski set up Sean Jones' tying goal late in the first period, and his fourth of the season early in the second period was the eventual game winner for the Battalion (10-10-3).

Philip Lane, Stephon Thorne and Barclay Goodnow added singles for Brampton, while Thomas Stajan chipped in with a pair of assists. Patrick Killeen made 19 saves to preserve the victory.

Sam Lofquist had a goal and an assist for the Storm, while Conor O'Donnell also scored. Cody St. Jacques turned aside 22 shots in defeat.
