BARRIE, Ont. - Tanner Pearson had a goal and four assists to lead the Barrie Colts to an 8-6 victory over the Niagara IceDogs in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday.
The Colts scored five times in the third period, including three unanswered goals in the final 4:27.
Zach Hall and Colin Behenna scored two goals apiece for Barrie (4-2-1), while Norm Ezekiel, Brendan Bell and Aaron Ekblad added singles for the Colts.
For Ekblad and Bell, it was their first career OHL goals.
David Pacan had a hat trick for Niagara (2-4-1), while Andrew Agozzino picked up two goals and a pair of assists for the IceDogs.
Brothers Freddie and Dougie Hamilton each had four assists in a losing cause, with the Freddie also scoring a goal.
Niagara scored five times on the man advantage, going 5-for-6 on the night. Barrie ended its evening at 2-for-4.
Mathias Niederberger started in goal for the Colts but was pulled after allowing three goals on 10 shots. Clint Windsor came in and made 20 saves in the win.
Niagara's Jaroslav Pavelka turned aside 35 pucks in defeat.
