With their second pick and 62nd overall selection of the Second Round - the original selection the Lightning owned in the Second Round - Tampa Bay selected Gage Goncalves, a 19-year-old center from Everett of the Western Hockey League.

Goncalves is the second center the Lightning took in the Second Round of the 2020 NHL Draft after drafting Jack Finley five selections earlier.
Goncalves checks in a 6-foot and 165 pounds. He scored 33 goals and recorded 71 points in 60 games for the Silvertips during the 2019-20 season.
Goncalves is a left-handed shot. He was rated the 80th North American skater in the 2020 Draft by NHL Central Scouting.
