Kucherov, Lightning defeat Predators in overtime @NHLdotcom

Nikita Kucherov scored 1:02 into overtime to give the Tampa Bay Lightning a 3-2 win against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena.

Colton Sissons scored for Nashville to tie the game 2-2 with 3:53 left in the third period.

Lightning forward Alex Killorn scored power-play goals 5:49 into the first period and 13:51 into the second to give them a 2-1 lead. Kucherov had an assist on each.

Miikka Salomaki scored a shorthanded goal for Nashville at 10:46 of the first period to tie it 1-1.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 26 saves for Tampa Bay, which finished the preseason 3-4-0 and opens the regular season Oct. 6 against the Florida Panthers.

Pekka Rinne made 32 for Nashville, which finished the preseason 2-2-2 and opens the regular season Oct. 5 at the Boston Bruins.
