LIGHTNING (35-29-9) at RED WINGS (29-32-11)
7:30 p.m. ET; FS-D, SUN, NHL.TV

Lightning team scope

The Tampa Bay Lightning are three points behind the Boston Bruins for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference with a game in hand. "Just try to grab as many points as we can," forward Jonathan Drouin told the Lightning website after he had a goal and two assists in a 6-3 win at the Bruins on Thursday. "It's a tight race in the East. It's been that way for a while know. We know what's at stake, we know what we need to do. It's just up to us to grab those two points and play hard every night." Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy likely will start after Peter Budaj played Thursday. Defenseman Jason Garrison likely will miss the game after sustaining a lower-body injury Thursday. "We can't get too high on ourselves," Drouin said. "We have to forget about that one and get ready for Detroit."

Red Wings team scope

The Detroit Red Wings go for their fourth win in five games (3-0-1), and goaltender Petr Mrazek will start. Mrazek backed up Jimmy Howard in a 2-1 overtime win at the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday. Mrazek is 16-20-7 and has lost his past three home starts. The Red Wings have lost all three games to the Lightning this season and have been outscored 14-8. "They look like a typical Jon Cooper team, a typical Tampa team," coach Jeff Blashill told Mlive.com on Friday. "They're very good in transition. They come forward at you a lot, so they come hard on the forecheck. They pinch their [defensemen]. You've got to be ready to get pucks behind, otherwise you're going to end up with the puck in your end a lot." Forward Darren Helm will miss his third straight game because of a leg injury.
