Tampa Bay leads best-of-7 series, 3-2

The Tampa Bay Lightning can win the Stanley Cup with a victory against the Dallas Stars in Game 6 of the Cup Final at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Monday.
The Stars prevented the Lightning from winning the Cup for the first time since 2004 when Corey Perry scored at 9:23 of the second overtime for a 3-2 win in Game 5 in Edmonton, the hub city for the Cup Final, on Saturday.
The Lightning are 5-0 in games following a loss in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
"I really like how we've responded after losses," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "It's not going to guarantee future success, but there's a focus with this group."
The Stars are hoping to build on their performance in Game 5, their ninth comeback win in the playoffs.
"We've been a team that's come back all year long," Dallas coach Rick Bowness said. "When you're in those situations you can't worry about facing elimination. You have worry about taking care of the process of winning that game."
Here are 3 keys to Game 6:

1. Palat, Point, Kucherov

Forwards Ondrej Palat, Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov have led the Lightning offense all series. Point (four goals, three assists) and Kucherov (one goal, six assists) each has seven points in the past four games. Palat has five points (three goals, two assists) in those games.
In five games following a loss in the playoffs. Kucherov has seven points (one goal, six assists), Point has five points (three goals, two assists), and Palat has four points (three goals, one assist).
"Let's be honest, we probably wouldn't be here without those three," Cooper said.

2. Pavelski, Perry

It's not a surprise that Stars forwards Joe Pavelski and Corey Perry played a significant role in preparing Dallas to respond after losing Game 4 in overtime and a big role in Game 5.
Perry gave the Stars a 1-0 lead at 17:52 of the first period, Pavelski scored the game-tying goal at 13:15 of the third, and Perry scored in double overtime.
Pavelski, 36, and Perry, 35, the oldest players in the game for either team, did it by going to the net, finding the puck and putting it in, which has been a focus for the Stars during the past few games after they weren't getting to the inside earlier in the series.
"That's where they've made their career," Bowness said. "That's why they're still playing."

3. Stay out of the box

Dallas stayed disciplined in Game 5, limiting Tampa Bay to one power play that it killed. It was the biggest reason the Stars gave themselves a chance to win. The Lightning were 6-for-12 on the power play in the previous three games.
"If we can keep our feet moving and keep our sticks on the ice, you find yourself taking a lot less penalties," Bowness said.
