PITTSBURGH (AP) -Forwards Maxime Talbot and Erik Christensen, two of the five potential unrestricted free agents given qualifying offers by the Pittsburgh Penguins, agreed Thursday to two-year contracts.
Remaining unsigned are forwards Colby Armstrong and Tim Brent. Defenseman Ryan Whitney signed a $24 million, six-year contract last week.
The 23-year-old Talbot had 13 goals and 11 assists in 75 games last season.
Christensen, 23, had 18 goals and 15 assists in 61 games and tied for the NHL lead with eight shootout goals. He had the deciding goal in three of the Penguins' 10 shootout victories.
