HAMILTON - T.J. Hensick scored at 2:28 of overtime to lift the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 5-4 win over the Rochester Americans in American Hockey League action on Sunday.
Rene Bourque, Greg Pateryn, Jacob de la Rose and Gabriel Dumont also scored for the Bulldogs (6-7-2), who built a 4-1 lead by the end of the first period. Sven Andrighetto chipped in with three assists.
Adam Luke and Matt Ellis had a goal and an assist apiece for the Americans (7-8-1), Chad Ruhwedel scored on the power play, and Jake McCabe's goal at 16:34 of the second period tied the game 4-4.
Hamilton goaltender Mike Condon made 39 saves in the victory. Rochester's Andrey Makarov stopped 31 shots in the losing effort.
The Bulldogs went 2 for 6 on the power play while the Americans were successful on 2-of-5 chances with the man advantage.
