Szwarz, Trocheck pace Saginaw to 4-2 win over Mississauga St. Michael's Majors @NHLdotcom

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Vincent Trocheck and Jordan Szwarz each scored a goal and added an assist to pace the Saginaw Spirit to a 4-2 victory over the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors in Ontario Hockey League play Friday night.

Szwarz broke a 2-2 deadlock with his 17th goal of the season late in the second period and Trocheck clinched the win with his 13th of the campaign early in the third as the Spirit (25-21-5) won its third game in a row.

Trocheck set up Peter Hermenegildo midway through the first period to stake the Spirit to a 1-0 lead. Szwarz set up Trocheck's third-period marker. Michael Kantor gave Saginaw a 2-0 lead when he scored his third goal of the season late in the opening period.

Casey Cizikas, with his 20th goal of the year, and defenceman Blake Parlett replied for the Majors (34-13-5).

Edward Pasquale made 28 saves in goal for the Spirit. Saginaw had 25 shots at Mississauga netminder Chris Carrozzi.
