Swift Current wins fourth straight at home despite two goals from Coetzee @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Justin Dowling had a goal and an assist and the Swift Current Broncos extended their home winning streak to four games with a 4-2 win over the Red Deer Rebels in Western Hockey League action Sunday.

Cody Eakin scored his team-leading fifth of the season, while Taylor Vause, and Dillon Wagner also scored for the Broncos.

Trailing 3-0 entered the third period, Red Deer stormed back with back-to-back goals from Willie Coetzee in the opening 6:24 of the third period. However, Wagner's empty-net goal with 47 seconds left in regulation put the game out of reach.

Coetzee now has four goals and leads the Rebels with 14 points.

Broncos rookie goaltender Alexandre Sirard posted his first WHL victory with a 24-save performance.

Rebels netminder Darcy Kuemper yielded four goals on 29 shots.

The Broncos (4-3-0) have won twice in a row while Red Deer (3-5-0) has dropped two straight games.
