Brandon Sutter scored his second goal of the game 2:23 into overtime to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 3-2 preseason win against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday at Consol Energy Center.
Sutter put Pittsburgh ahead 1-0 lead with a first-period, power-play goal.
Thomas Vanek scored 33 seconds into in the second period, his first of the preseason with his new team, and Zach Parise scored 7:12 into the third, to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead. Pittsburgh's Oskar Sundqvist tied it 2-2 14 seconds later.
Darcy Kuemper allowed one goal facing 15 shots, and Ilya Bryzgalov finished with two goals allowed on 12, for the Wild.
Jeff Zatkoff made 16 saves for the Penguins. Simon Despres had two assists.
