Sunday's QMJHL Roundup @NHL

A visit to the Saint John Sea Dogs didn't slow Cape Breton's roll.

Chris Culligan, Jeremy Gouchie and Nicolas Chouinard each had a goal and an assist to lead the undefeated Screaming Eagles to a 5-2 win over Saint John in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Sunday.

At 5-0, Cape Breton sits in first place in the Atlantic Division.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL on Sunday, it was Victoriaville 8 Baie-Comeau 1, Acadie-Bathurst 5 Rimouski 1, Moncton 7 Val-d'Or 2 and Rouyn-Noranda 4 Montreal 2.

At Saint John, N.B., Philippe Fontaine and Murdock MacLellan added goals for Cape Breton.

Francois Gauthier and Michael Kirkpatrick replied for the Sea Dogs (2-2-0-0).

Tigres 8 Drakkar 1

At Victoriaville, Que., Olivier Hinse had two goals and an assist to help the Tigres trounce Baie-Comeau.

Maxime Gravel, Travis McIsaac, Nick Huard, Brandon Hynes, Alexandre Labonte and Philip-Michael Devos also scored for Victoriaville (2-2-0-0).

Guillaume Goulet had the goal for the Drakkar (1-2-1-0).


Titan 5 Oceanic 1

At Bathurst, N.B., Radek Vlasanek had a goal and an assist as the Titan beat Rimouski.

Taylor Lambke, Spencer Jezegou, Tomy Joly and Vincent Couture added goals for Acadie-Bathurst (3-0-1-0).

Keven Veilleux countered for the Oceanic (2-2-0-0).


Wildcats 7 Foreurs 2

At Moncton, N.B., Matt Eagles and Sasha Famin scored two goals each in the Wildcats' victory over Val-d'Or.

Ted Stephens, Scott Brannon and David Savard added goals for Moncton (4-0-0-0).

Christian Morin and Cedrick Henley responded for the Foreurs (0-5-0-0).


Huskies 4 Junior 2

At Montreal, Christophe Losier scored the winner as Rouyn-Noranda topped the Junior.

Martin D'Anjou, Benoit Gervais and Gabriel Levesque also scored for the Huskies (1-2-1-0).

Alex Wall and Benjamin Rubin had the goals for Montreal (1-3-0-0).
