Suer scores shootout winner as Moose Jaw slides past the Oil Kings 4-3

EDMONTON - Chad Suer scored the only goal in the shootout as the Moose Jaw Warriors edged the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3 on Saturday night in the Western Hockey League.

After Ian Duval hit the post for the Warriors in the third round, Suer sealed the deal in the fourth with a forehand-backhand move, flipping the puck over Oil King goalie Torrie Jung to extend Edmonton's winless streak to four games.

Brendan Dowd tied the game at 3-3 with a power-play goal for the Oil Kings midway through the third period.

Joel Broda, Corey Scott and Riley Grantham scored in regulation for Moose Jaw (10-23-0-1).

Brett Breitkreuz and Shayne Neigum had the other goals for Edmonton (15-19-2-3).

Jung stopped 27 shots in net for Edmonton, while Deven Dubyk made 24 saves for Moose Jaw.
