Subban, Vonn once again wear matching swimsuits for July 4

Devils defenseman, girlfriend were back for second round of dueling looks

In a tradition -- and we cannot stress this enough -- unlike any other, New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban and his skiing legend girlfriend Lindsey Vonn sported the same bathing suit for an Independence Day dip in the water.

Naturally, the suit of choice wasn't men's trunks, because what fun would that be? Instead the pair went with a stars and stripes two piece that just screamed the Fourth of July.

Subban, who was traded to the Devils by the Nashville Predators on June 22, started the video playing it cool but soon revealed the, um, revealing getup before jumping in the pool.

If you recall, (and how could you not?) the couple started the ritual last year with matching one piece red and white striped swimsuits with "USA" printed on the front.

We'd rather not speculate where this might go for year three, so let's just appreciate this part unique display of affection, part friendly competition in its current state.

Hey, it's one way to beat the heat.

Instagram from @lindseyvonn: Who wore it better year 2! This is getting out of hand 🤣🤦 I love my crazy @subbanator ❤ #happy4thofjuly
