Subban scores twice, adds two assists as Belleville beats Peterborough 6-3
NHL.com @NHLdotcomPETERBOROUGH, Ont. - P.K. Subban's second goal of the game lifted the Belleville Bulls past the Peterborough Petes 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.
Subban scored on a two-man advantage to break a 3-3 tie with 3:29 left in the third period and Shawn Lalonde scored on the second-half of the power play 31 seconds later. Luke Pither added his second of the night, into an empty net, to give the Eastern Conference-leading Bulls (33-13-2-2) their seventh straight win.
Subban also had two assists while Eric Tangradi had four assists. Brandon Mashinter had the Bulls' other goal.
Justin Larson and Brett Theberge had a goal and assist each to stake the Petes (20-28-0-2) to a 2-0 lead. Jamie Doornbosch's power play goal made it 3-2 early in the third.
Jason Missiaen made 45 saves in a losing cause while Mike Murphy stopped 25 for the win.
