REGINA - Matt Strueby and Jordan Eberle had two goals apiece to help the Regina Pats pound the Prince Albert Raiders 8-3 in Western Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.
Rookie Jordan Weal opened the scoring 53 seconds into the first period, while Eberle and Matt Delahey also found the net early to put Regina (8-5-1-2) up 3-0 in the first eight minutes.
Prince Albert (9-8-0-0) clawed back, pulling within two goals in the second period before Tomas Hricina scored to put Regina up 6-3.
Garrett Mitchell rounded out the scoring for the Pats. Justin Bernhardt, Ryan McDonald, Dustin Cameron replied for the Raiders.
Linden Rowat earned the win for Regina, making 18 saves. Garret Zemlak stopped 28 shots for Prince Albert.
