Stretch scores twice as Kamloops thumps the Winter Hawks 5-1 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - C.J. Stretch scored twice in the first period to lead the Kamloops Blazers over the Portland Winter Hawks 5-1 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Kamloops (21-22-1-4) was three for six on the power play. Stretch, Jimmy Bubnick, and Seth Compton scored on the power play. Kamloops also got a goal from Curtis Kulchar.

Killian Hutt replied for Portland (12-30-1-2).

Blazers goalie Justin Leclerc made 34 saves for the win, while Ian Curtis stopped 21 shots.
