SASKATOON - Matej Stransky scored three goals and set up one more as the Saskatoon Blades crushed the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings 8-2 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.
Dalton Thrower had a goal and three assists for the Blades (22-16-1), Brent Benson and Jake Trask scored a goal and an assist each while Michael Burns and Lukas Sutter added singles to round out Saskatoon's scoring.
Daniel Asham and Dominick Favreau each scored for the Wheat Kings (21-16-2), who have now dropped back-to-back games and fall one point behind the Blades for third in the East Division.
Alex Moodie made 21 saves for the win as Brandon Anderson allowed four goals on 17 shots before being pulled midway through the second period. Curtis Honey came on in relief and stopped eight of 12 shots.
Saskatoon went 2 for 3 on the power play while Brandon failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
