Stokes scores once, adds assist in Oshawa's 4-3 victory over Niagara

OSHAWA, Ont. - Conor Stokes had a goal and an assist, leading the Oshawa Generals to a 4-3 win over the Niagara IceDogs in OHL action Sunday.

Andy Andreoff and Booner Jenner contributed power-play goals as the Generals (9-14-3-1) snapped a six-game losing streak and won for just the second time in the past 14.

Daniel Pachis opened the scoring for Oshawa 1:55 into the game, and the Generals built period leads of 2-1 through one and 4-1 through two.

Dougie Hamilton, Andrew Agozzino and Reggie Traccitto scored for the IceDogs (9-16-2-2).

Michael Zador made 41 saves in goal for the Generals, while the IceDogs' Mark Visentin stopped 29 shots.

Oshawa was 2-for-7 on the power play, and Niagara was 1-for-5.
