CALGARY (CP) - Steve DaSilva scored twice, including the game winner at 16:08 of the third period, to lead the Kootenay Ice to a 4-3 win over the Calgary Hitmen in Western Hockey League playoff action Monday night.
The result tied the best-of-seven Eastern Conference playoff series at 3-3 with Game 7 slated for Wednesday night in Cranbrook, B.C. Kevin King and Clayton Bauer also scored for the Ice, which trailed 3-1 in the series before battling to win Games 5 and 6 to force a seventh and deciding game.
Alex Plante, Keegan Dansereau and Robin Figren replied for the Hitmen, who trailed 3-2 after two periods before rallying to tie the game in the third.
Kootenay goalie Taylor Dakers made 36 saves, including 17 in the first period, while Calgary goalie Dan Mercer stopped 18 shots at the other end.
