CRANBROOK, B.C. - Kootenay Ice Captain Steve DaSilva scored two goals in a 2-1 win over Lethbridge in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.
The Ice opened the scoring on a 2-on-1 break as DaSilva scored on a wrist shot high on the glove side. DaSilva made it 2-0 as he backhanded in his own rebound after receiving a pass from the corner from Arnaud Jacquemet.
Lethbridge made it 2-1 a Nicholas Hotson batted in a high pass and bounced the pick over the goalies' pad.
Kris Lazaruk made 30 saves for the win. Juha Metsola stopped 21 shots in a losing cause.
The Ice (42-20-5-3) are in third place in the East Conference while Lethbridge (43-21-2-3) is tied with Medicine Hat for fourth place.
