Stepan Novotny, Adam Brown lead Rockets past Blazers 5-0 @NHL

KELOWNA, B.C. - Stepan Novotny had a three-point night for Kelowna and Adam Brown made 23 saves as the Rockets blanked the Kamloops Blazers 5-0 in Western Hockey League action Saturday.

Novotny had two power-play goals and one assist while Brett Bulmer and Cody Chikie, with their first WHL goals, and Lucas Bloodoff also scored for Kelowna (1-2-1-0).

Kamloops (3-1-0-0), which trailed 1-0 and 3-0 at the period breaks, suffered its first defeat of the season following a perfect start. In their first three games, the Blazers surrendered just six goals.

Jon Groenheyde made 44 saves for the Blazers.
