Marc-Andre Fleury wasn't the only one to receive a standing ovation in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Ryan Shazier, a linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers who sustained a spinal-cord injury during an NFL game in December, stood to acknowledge the crowd at PPG Paints Arena during the first period of the Pittsburgh Penguins game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Shazier was carted off the field without feeling in his legs during the Steelers' game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 13. He announced Thursday he'd started an assisted walking routine, and with the help of his wife Michelle and the Penguins-sweatshirt-clad fellow next to him, he stood up to acknowledge the crowd's incredible ovation.

Tuesday also marked Fleury's first game back in Pittsburgh as a member of the Golden Knights.
