SAN JOSE - The San Jose Sharks defeated the St. Louis Blues 3-0 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final at SAP Center on Thursday.

Goals: Pavelski 0; Stastny 0.

Key intangible stat: Stastny did not have a shot on goal - let alone a shot - in the first two periods, though he finally got one early in the third. He had three goals and four assists against in seven games the Dallas Stars in the second round. Stastny doesn't have a point against the Sharks this series and his line was virtually invisible in Game 3.

Best moment: The Sharks, who controlled the play virtually all game, got off to exactly the start they wanted to by taking a 1-0 lead at 15:53 of the first period. Tomas Hertl scored, but the primary assist went to Pavelski, who led Hertl toward the left circle with the pass. It was many scenarios in which Pavelski's line dominated against the Blues. The Sharks' top line scored another goal at 6:09 of the third period to put the Blues. Hertl scored his second goal and Pavelski got his second assist of the game.

Series stat line (goals-assists-points): Pavelski 0-4-4; Stastny 0-0-0.
