Stastny scores for Blues in loss to Stars

Paul Stastny, the St. Louis Blues' big free-agent signing, scored his first goal as a member of the Blues, but the Dallas Stars got goals from four players to defeat the Blues 4-2 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.

Travis Morin's goal 3:56 into the second period broke a 1-1 tie, and Darren Meech's power-play goal at 12:13 proved to be the game-winner. Stastny scored at 13:42 of the middle period to cut the deficit to one goal, but Kevin Connauton gave the Stars some insurance with a goal early in the third period.

Robby Fabbri opened the scoring for the Blues 3:50 into the game, but Dallas' Branden Troock tied it 55 seconds layer

Dallas is 3-1-0 in the preseason; St. Louis fell to 0-3-1.
