The Dallas Stars
received some good news on Friday morning, hours before they face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins
at the Consol Energy Center.
First-line left wing Brenden Morrow
is a go for the game after being questionable with an elbow injury. The Stars even put Steve Ott
on IR on Thursday to open up a spot in case Morrow couldn't answer the bell.
But that proved not to be the case as Morrow took part in the morning skate, which dealt mainly with special-teams play.
"Brenden's a go," coach Glen Gulutzan said. "We knew Brenden was going to be a go. He fell on his elbow and had some stitches there, but you know that is not going to hold Brenden back."
The Stars are making one lineup change, however.
will be re-inserted into the lineup, playing a fourth-line wing role.
"Barchy will go for us tonight," Gulutzan said. "He's played with lots of energy and been real physical for us. He's gonna come in, and (Jake) Dowell and (Adam) Pardy will be out, but you will see both those guys most likely in tomorrow."
The Stars finish a taxing road trip with a Saturday night game against the Red Wings in Detroit.
