Stars trade goalie Campbell to Kings

2010 first-round pick sent to Los Angeles for defenseman Ebert

BUFFALO -- The Dallas Stars traded goaltender Jack Campbell to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday for defenseman Nick Ebert.

Campbell, 24, was selected with the 11th pick in the 2010 NHL Draft. He was projected as the Stars' goalie of the future but appeared in one NHL game. Campbell went 56-43-10 with a 2.73 goals-against average and .908 save percentage in 122 regular-season games for Texas of the American Hockey League.

Ebert, 22, appeared in 44 games for Ontario of the AHL this season, scoring two goals and 12 points with a plus-12 rating. In 89 AHL games, he has 10 goals and 16 assists. He was selected by Los Angeles in the seventh round (No. 211) of the 2012 draft.
