Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled left wing Curtis McKenzie from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
McKenzie, 23, posted a goal and an assist in Texas' season-opening win last night against Iowa. In 2013-14, he won the Dudley "Red" Garrett Memorial Award, given to the AHL's most outstanding rookie, and was named to the AHL All-Rookie Team leading all AHL rookies with 65 points (27-38=65) in 75 games played. He added 14 points (3-11=14) in 21 postseason contests helping Texas win their first Calder Cup.
