Stars' Eaves gets hat trick in first period

Forward helps build lead against Blackhawks

Dallas Stars forward Patrick Eaves scored a hat trick in the first period against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Thursday.
Eaves scored at 3:19, 16:26 and 19:44 to help Dallas take a 4-0 lead.

Eaves had four goals in 34 games this season before Thursday.
