DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Stars have signed defenseman Trevor Daley to a six-year contract extension worth $19.8 million.
The deal announced Tuesday is worth $3.5 million in each of the first four years before dropping to $3.1 million in 2015-16 and $2.7 million on 2016-17.
The 27-year-old Daley is second on the team at 22:34 minutes per game through 37 games. He has two goals and nine assists, putting him second among Stars defensemen with 11 points. Dallas has won six straight games when Daley scores a goal, dating to last season.
The Toronto native has played all 453 career games with the Stars. He was a second-round pick in 2002.
