Stars forward Roussel faces Player Safety hearing

Dallas Stars forward Antoine Roussel will have a hearing Thursday morning with the NHL Department of Player Safety for a cross-checking incident against Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid during a game Tuesday at TD Garden.

Roussel was given a major penalty and game misconduct for cross-checking with 3:43 left in the first period. McQuaid remained in the game.

Dallas won the game 5-3.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: cross-checking. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
