Saturday's doubleheader on the NHL Network in the U.S. features the Dallas Stars
hosting the Colorado Avalanche
followed in the nightcap by the New York Rangers
visiting the Toronto Maple Leafs
The action begins at 3 p.m. ET.
In the Western Conference matchup, both the Stars and Avalanche aim to make up ground in the playoff race. At the start of Saturday's action, Dallas was one point out of eighth while Colorado was two points back. The Avs in particular have been playing well lately, with a 6-3-1 record over their last 10 games.
At 7 p.m., the Rangers look to build on their Eastern Conference lead, as the No. 1 seed makes an appearance at Air Canada Centre. New York will be looking to bounce back from a rare loss Thursday, just its second in the last 10 games, while Toronto enters Saturday as the seventh seed and will attempt to add some ground with several teams in hot pursuit of its playoff position.
