NHL Second Round playoff schedule announced

Two scenarios exist based on winner of Game 7 between Nashville Predators and Anaheim Ducks

The National Hockey League on Tuesday announced Stanley Cup Playoffs schedule scenarios for the second round, which begins Wednesday.

Two schedule scenarios were prepared, pending the outcome of Game 7 of the Western Conference First Round between the Nashville Predators and Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday (10 p.m. ET; NBCSN, FS-W, FS-TN).

If Anaheim advances to the Western Conference Second Round, the Ducks would face the San Jose Sharks in Game 1 Friday at Honda Center.

If Nashville advances, the Predators would play at the Sharks in Game 1 Friday at SAP Center.

In either scenario, faceoff would be at 10:30 p.m. ET (NBCSN, TVA Sports).

In the other Western Conference Second Round series, the St. Louis Blues will play Game 1 against the Dallas Stars on Friday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TVA Sports) at American Airlines Center.

In the Eastern Conference, the second-round series between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning will start on Wednesday (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports) at Amalie Arena, and the second-round series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals will begin Thursday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, TVA Sports) at Verizon Center.
