Here are the Stanley Cup Playoff clinching scenarios for April 7:

EASTERN CONFERENCE
The Tampa Bay Lightning will clinch the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference:
* If they defeat the Carolina Hurricanes (7 p.m. ET; FS-CR, SUN, NHL.TV) in regulation or overtime.
OR
* If they defeat the Hurricanes in a shootout AND the Boston Bruins fail to defeat the Ottawa Senators (7 p.m. ET; CITY, TVAS, NESN, NHL.TV) in regulation or overtime.
OR
* If they get one point against the Hurricanes AND the Bruins lose to the Senators in any fashion.
OR
* If the Bruins lose to the Senators in regulation.
WESTERN CONFERENCE
The St. Louis Blues will clinch a playoff berth:
* If they get at least one point against the Colorado Avalanche (9 p.m. ET; NHLN (JIP), ALT, FS-MW, NHL.TV).
The Colorado Avalanche will clinch a playoff berth:
* If they defeat the Blues in regulation.

NASHVILLE PREDATORS
First place in Central (locked), will face second wild card (St. Louis or Colorado) in First Round.
WINNIPEG JETS
Second place in Central (locked), will face third in Central (Minnesota) in First Round.
MINNESOTA WILD
Third place in Central (locked), will face second in Central (Winnipeg) in First Round.
VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS
First place in Pacific (locked), will face first wild card (San Jose, Anaheim or Los Angeles) in First Round.
SAN JOSE SHARKS
Will finish second in Pacific:
* If they get at least one point against Minnesota,
OR
* If Anaheim and Los Angeles both lose in any fashion, to Arizona and Dallas, respectively.
Will finish third in Pacific:
* If they lose to Minnesota in regulation combined with a Los Angeles win and Anaheim loss,
OR
* If they lose to Minnesota in regulation combined with an Anaheim win and Los Angeles loss.
Will finish as first wild card:
* If they lose to Minnesota in regulation combined with wins for both Anaheim and Los Angeles.

Will finish second in Pacific:
* If they defeat Arizona in any fashion AND San Jose loses to Minnesota in regulation.
Will finish third in Pacific:
* If they defeat Arizona in any fashion AND San Jose gets at least one point against Minnesota,
OR
* If they get one point against Arizona AND Los Angeles loses to Dallas in any fashion,
OR
* If they lose to Arizona in regulation AND Los Angeles loses to Dallas in regulation.
Will finish as first Wild Card:
* If they get one point against Arizona AND Los Angeles defeats Dallas in any fashion,
OR
* If they lose to Arizona in regulation AND Los Angeles gets at least one point against Dallas.
LOS ANGELES KINGS
Will finish second in Pacific:
* If they defeat Dallas in any fashion AND San Jose loses to Minnesota in regulation AND Anaheim loses to Arizona in any fashion.
Will finish third in Pacific:
* If they defeat Dallas in any fashion AND San Jose gets at least one point against Minnesota AND Anaheim loses to Arizona in any fashion,
OR
* If they defeat Dallas in any fashion AND San Jose loses to Minnesota in regulation AND Anaheim defeats Arizona in any fashion,
OR
* If they get one point against Dallas AND Anaheim loses to Arizona in regulation.
Will finish as first wild card:
* If they lose to Dallas in regulation,
OR
* If they get one point against Dallas AND Anaheim gets at least one point against Arizona,
OR

WASHINGTON CAPITALS
First place in Metropolitan (locked), will face first wild card (Columbus, New Jersey or Philadelphia) in First Round
PITTSBURGH PENGUINS
Second place in Metropolitan (locked), will face third in Metropolitan (Columbus, New Jersey or Philadelphia) in First Round
TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
Third place in Atlantic (locked), will face second in Atlantic (Boston or Tampa Bay) in First Round.
COLUMBUS/NEW JERSEY/PHILADELPHIA
Columbus, New Jersey and Philadelphia will take third place in the Metropolitan, the first wild card and second wild card spots, in an order to be determined.
Columbus will clinch third in the Metropolitan if it wins in regulation or overtime, or if it wins in a shootout and New Jersey fails to win in regulation or overtime. The myriad other outcomes can be seen by viewing the chart below. Should Columbus and New Jersey finish tied in points and ROW, Columbus owns the tiebreaker.
