It may have been the "Footloose" musical, but they were playing "Gloria" on Friday.
The Stanley Cup made an appearance at The Muny, which bills itself America's oldest and largest outdoor musical theater, where the musical based on the 1984 film runs through July 24.
The Cup rose triumphantly through the floor of the orchestra pit in front of the stage to an adoring crowd. The Muny, which opened in 1919, played host to the Cup for the first time.
Of course, the venue had to play "Gloria," the 1982 Laura Branigan hit associated with the Blues' run this season to their first Stanley Cup championship.
