Stanford makes 41 saves to lift Prince Albert past Seattle 2-1 @NHLdotcom

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Steven Stanford turned aside 41 shots as the Prince Albert Raiders escaped with a 2-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday night in the Western Hockey League.

Stanford surrendered a second-period goal to Chris Cloud but was otherwise perfect, stopping all 20 shots he faced in a furious third period. Justin Bernhardt and Matt Robertson scored for the Raiders (13-12-0-0), winners of two straight.

Jacob DeSerres made 18 saves in defeat for the Thunderbirds.
