CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Parker Stanfield scored 43 seconds into overtime as the Prince George Cougars rallied to beat the Chilliwack Bruins 5-4 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.
Stanfield also had two assists. Prince George (10-13-0-1) was down 3-0 early in the third period before Jeff Regier, Brett Connolly and Greg Fraser scored in a five minute, 30 second span to knot the game at 3-3. Andy Smith gave Chilliwack the lead again less than a minute later, but Dana Tyrell scored with five minutes remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime.
Colby Kulhanek and Justin Maylan had two assists each for the Cougars.
Jadon Potter scored twice, while Randy McNaught also scored for the Bruins (7-11-2-2).
Kevin Armstrong made 22 saves to earn the win, while Chilliwack netminder Mark Friesen stopped 20 shots.
