ST. LOUIS - NHL All-Star Weekend is just around the corner, and the city is making all their preparations to host the big event for the first time since 1988. Here are just some ways the city is getting ready:
Crews installed new street signs in downtown St. Louis on Tuesday afternoon. Just in front of Enterprise Center, Clark Avenue has been named All-Star Avenue, while Market Street features new street signs bearing the name All-Star Way. - Street pole banners around Enterprise Center have been updated to include the NHL All-Star Game and NHL Fan Fair logos. Fan Fair will be held at St. Louis Union Station from Jan. 23 - 26 and will feature four days of family-friendly hockey interactive games and attractions, special appearances, trophy and memorabilia displays and more! - Local businesses, schools and even residences are displaying their "Let's Go Blues" banners to show their pride and show the world just how big of a hockey town St. Louis really is. These signs usually get displayed during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
On Thursday, the ice crew inside Enterprise Center installed the NHL All-Star logo at center ice in anticipation of the NHL All-Star Skills and NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 24-25. NHL All-Star Weekend includes an NHL Alumni Game presented by Bud Light at Centene Community Ice Center (Jan. 23), four days of Fan Fair events (Jan. 23-26), NHL All-Star Skills presented by New Amsterdam Vodka (Jan. 24, 7 p.m.), the NHL All-Star 5K presented by Ashley Furniture (Jan. 25, 9 a.m.) and the NHL All-Star Game (Jan. 25, 7 p.m.) In addition, fans can enjoy Enterprise NHL All-Star Friday Night with a live performance from O.A.R. and red carpet arrivals outside Enterprise Center on Friday, Jan. 24 beginning at 4:30 p.m. To learn more about All-Star Weekend in downtown St. Louis, visit stlouisblues.com/allstar
