libraries

By now, the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues definitely have a good read on each other, so much so that their local libraires are in a battle of their own.

The Vancouver Public Library and St. Louis Public Library were at it again on Friday, participating in the Book Spine Challenge ahead of Game 6 of the Vancouver Canucks vs. St. Louis Blues Western Conference First Round. The challenge is to create sentences using the titles of books on their spines.

Their duel began before Game 5, but this time the libraries got even more creative with their titles.

The

sent out the first post with titles (try to read them in order, as a sentence, if you would) "The Well Played Game," "Vancouver," "But!" "If I'm Being Honest," "The Game's Not Over," (blank book to indicate a period, then some more) "Hostile Territory," "Moment of Truth," "Been There Done That," "Count Me In," "City of Champions."

The

responded in kind and even added a worker wearing a Canucks T-shirt in the background. Their book titles linked together to read: "Bring It!" "Sweet St. Louis," "This Is The Day," "You'll Be Okay," "Singing the Blues," (blank book) "Good Luck," "Make It Happen," "Lords of The Rinks," "Vancouver," and "You Can Do It!"

Maybe we shouldn't be surprised that trash talking between libraries is now a thing. After all, it's been a different kind of hockey playoffs in 2020.
