Spokane forward Bowman named WHL player of the month @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Spokane Chiefs forward Drayson Bowman was named Western Hockey League player of the month Tuesday.

The 18-year-old from Littleton, Colo., recorded 24 points (13-11) last month and had a plus-16 rating. He helped the Chiefs to a 9-1-0-1 record over the stretch.

Bowman was selected in the third round of the 2007 NHL entry draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.
