Spokane forward Bowman named Canadian Hockey League player of the week @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Spokane Chiefs forward Drayson Bowman was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week Tuesday.

He had eight points (three goals, five assists) in two Western Hockey League games last week.

Joel Champagne of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's P.E.I. Rocket and Logan Couture of the Ontario Hockey League's Ottawa 67's were also considered.

Nicola Riopel of the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats was named CHL goaltender of the week.

He posted three wins last week and recorded a 1.33 goals-against average and .943 save percentage.
