Spitfires snap nine-game winless streak with 3-2 win against the Whalers @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - The Windsor Spitfires snapped a nine-game winless streak Saturday night with a 3-2 shoot-out win against the Plymouth Whalers in Ontario Hockey League action.

Alex Khokhlachev and Brady Vail scored the regulation goals for the Spitfires (9-10-2), and Nick Czinder registered the shoot-out winner.

Rickard Rakell and Garrett Meurs scored for the Whalers (9-6-3).

John Cullen made 37 saves for the win while Scott Wedgewood finished with 32 stops for the loss.

Both teams scored once on the power play.
