Spitfires one win away from taking OHL title after beating Battalion 4-1

BRAMPTON, Ont. - The Windsor Spitfires are one victory away from winning the Ontario Hockey League title.

Andrei Loktionov scored twice and Andrew Engelage made 40 saves as the Spitfires beat the Brampton Battalion 4-1 Wednesday and took a 3-1 lead in the OHL best-of-seven final series. Ben Shutron and Scott Timmins also scored for Windsor, while Mark Cundari added two assists.

Cody Hodgson replied for Brampton.

Starting Battalion goaltender Thomas McCollum made 31 saves on 35 shots. Patrick Killeen stopped all three shots he faced after coming into the game with just under three minutes lift in regulation.

The Spitfires can wrap up the series with a win Friday in Windsor, Ont.
