Soudek and Jones lead Royals 7-5 comeback victory over Kelowna Rockets @NHLdotcom

VICTORIA - Robin Soudek and Zane Jones each scored twice as the Victoria Royals rallied with four third-period goals to defeat the Kelowna Rockets 7-5 Friday night in Western Hockey League action.

The Rockets opened a 3-2 lead after first-period goals by Spencer Main, Colton Heffley and Jesse Lees.

Soudek, who opened the scoring, got his second of the game and seventh of the season at 14:55 of the first to cut the deficit to one.

The Rockets padded their lead in the second with two goals coming from Colton Sissons and Myles Bell.

But Jones answered back for the Royals at 8:35 to make it 5-3 Kelowna going into the third.

Jones scored his second of the night at 4:44 of the final period and Jamie Crooks tied the game tied the game five minutes later.

Lukas Kralik scored the go-ahead goal on a partial break away with five minutes to go and Logan Nelson scored an empty-netter to seal the Royals victory.

Royals backstop Keith Hamilton made 22 saves in the victory while Rockets goalie Adam Brown made 27 saves in the losing effort.
