Snider leads the way for Calgary as the Hitmen shut out Regina 5-0 @NHLdotcom

REGINA - Michael Snider made 34 saves to help the Calgary Hitmen silence the Regina Pats 5-0 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Calgary (7-1-0) got goals from five different players with Kris Foucault opening the scoring in the first.

With 25 seconds left in the period, Cody Beach made it 2-0 when he redirected Michael Stone's point shot for his first of the season.

Fourteen seconds into the second Tyler Fiddler added another for Calgary when his centring pass from behind the net went in off a defender.

In the third, Regina (4-6-0) gave up two power-play goals, one from MacKenzie and the other from Brandon Kozun.

The shutout marked the first of the season for Snider. Dawson Guhle made 35 saves in the loss for Regina.
