Smith with three points to lead the Attack over the Storm

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - The Owen Sound Attack scored five unanswered goals in the second period en route to a 6-1 win over the Guelph Storm on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Gemel Smith scored twice and added an assist and Mike Halmo had one goal and two assists, while Chris Bigras, Daniel Zweep and Zach Nastasiuk added singles for Owen Sound (16-13-4).

Cody McNaughton scored the lone goal for Guelph (13-13-4).

Scott Stajcer turned aside 27 shots for the victory, while Garret Sparks made 33 saves in defeat.

Owen Sound went 2-for-12 on the power play and Guelph scored once on six opportunities.
